Advocacy Training

Canopy will begin a two session Advocacy training on Monday night, April 10th. If you have created a profile in our Better Impact database, have completed a background check and PSEA training, then you are qualified to sign-up for this event through Better Impact here: https://app.betterimpact.com/Login/Volunteer

We are looking to form a group of 20 volunteer advocates to help us counter misinformation and speak up for refugees in our community. If that sounds like something you'd like to do, we invite you to join us for this two-part advocacy training series. In Part One, we will equip you with all the facts you need to know about refugee resettlement: who refugees are, how they get here, what happens to them once they are here and how refugees contribute to our country. In Part Two, we will teach you how to reach different audiences with your message, how to respond to opposition and how to maximize your influence.
