Digital Communications Manager

Canopy NWA seeks to contract with an individual or firm to manage their digital communications across multiple platforms. This includes: creating content for their social media accounts in collaboration with Canopy staff, keeping their website up-to-date, drafting email marketing campaigns and responding to public online inquires as needed.

Refugee Services Internship

Works directly with Canopy’s case management team to provide core services to their refugee clients. Assists Canopy staff in conducting intake and exit interviews with refugee clients, taking clients to appointments, helping clients apply for documentation and benefits and keeping up client case files.

Refugee Employment Internship

Assists Canopy’s employment team in helping their clients secure timely, appropriate employment. Assists in teaching Canopy’s job training class, works with clients on their resumes and job applications, prepares clients for interviews and helps them prepare for employment.

Health Promotion Internship

The Refugee Health Promotion Intern collaborates with the Director of Refugee Health Promotion in the execution of the Celebrate Wellness Refugee Health Promotion Workshop series, designed to increase health literacy among refugees living in Arkansas <2 years.  The RHP intern also supports access to care by assisting with transportation to medical appointments.

Child Education Internship (Fall)

Oversees summer and after-school programming for refugee children. Coordinates with case management and volunteer management staff to enroll refugee children in outside summer and after-school activities as appropriate. Provides or coordinates childcare when needed so that refugee parents can attend English class, cultural orientation or job training.

Volunteer Coordinator Internship

Assists Volunteer Coordinator with recruiting, training, and managing volunteers. Helps facilitate apartment set-up for arriving families and works with volunteers and cosponsors in meeting the needs of Canopy’s refugee clients.
