This holiday season, we are asking you to help prepare a place for the refugee families that will be arriving to Northwest Arkansas.

We are asking for your support in one of three ways

FINANCIALLY SUPPORT A REFUGEE FAMILY'S TRANSITION PERIOD

This includes everything from their apartment rent to the salary of the employment specialist who will find them a job to the van we will use to pick them up at the airport. Part of these expenses are covered by federal funds and grants, but Canopy is responsible to raise $3,000 per family. We want to end the year by fully covering our first 5 families.

Prepare a place for a refugee family with a one-time gift of...

  • $3,000 to cover the family's entire 3-month transition period.
  • $1,000 to cover one month of a family's transition period.
  • Any amount as every donation matters

GIVE A SCHOOL BACKPACK FOR REFUGEE CHILD

Olivet International has given Canopy 20 backpacks -- now we need your help to fill them with all the supplies a student will need to start school in Arkansas.

You can find the supply list and sign up to fill a backpack here.

PROVIDE A WELCOME BASKET

In addition to the bare essentials, Canopy would love to be able to give every arriving refugee a small box, bin or basket with some simple gifts inside. We've come up with a list of recommended items for adults, girls, boys and infants.

You can see the recommended items and sign up to give a welcome basket here.
