KUAF Ozarks at Large Interview
Emily Crane Linn and Pastor Clint Schnekloth were recently interviewed on KUAF Ozarks at Large about the pending approval of NW Arkansas as a refugee resettlement area.
Additionally, Governor Asa Hutchinson gave his thoughts on Canopy NWA's efforts and we get to hear from one of NW Arkansas's current residents, Faez Arso, who fled Mosul, Iraq in 2014, and is now living in Springdale.
About the Interview
Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service-affiliated non-profit resettlement group is taking root in northwest Arkansas. Later this year, pending approval from the U.S. State Department, Canopy Northwest Arkansas plans to resettle a hundred refugees a year from war-ravaged places such as Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan in the Fayetteville area. But not all Arkansas political leaders are on board.
