World Refugee Day: Stories from Canopy Colleagues

JUN 29 2023

World Refugee Day is an international day designated by the United Nations to honor refugees around the globe.

It celebrates the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home to escape conflict or persecution. Each year on June 20th, we come together to honor this day and all in our community who have faced displacement.

Watch our recorded online event below that was held to commemorate this important day and the many amazing new neighbors in our community. Hear about Canopy’s history, our goals, and hear from some of our staff members from Afghanistan, Ukraine, Mauritania and Iran as they share their personal stories and about what their work with Canopy means to them.
