We are seeking an Employment Services Intern to assist our new arrivals through our early employment training and assist in job attainment in the U.S. Workforce.

The Employment Services Intern will work closely with Employment Specialists and Refugee Services Instructor to ensure employment services are being implemented.

During this internship, the intern will work directly with Canopy’s case management team to provide core services to their refugee clients. The intern will assist Canopy staff in conducting intake and exit interviews with refugee clients, taking clients to appointments, helping clients apply for documentation and benefits and keeping up client case files.

Canopy’s Immigration Legal Services program seeks passionate pre-law students for a rewarding internship. As an intern, you’ll gain invaluable experience working on real immigration cases under the supervision of an experienced DOJ-accredited team. You’ll contribute meaningfully to our mission of supporting refugees and immigrants in Northwest Arkansas while developing essential legal skills.

Canopy’s Youth Programs are designed to support refugee students with their integration into life in Northwest Arkansas. Activities and lessons provide academic, social-emotional and English language learning and support. Programming may include field trips to introduce students to Northwest Arkansas, music and art integrated lessons, and guest speakers from various organizations across the community.

The Youth Education Intern staffs and supports Youth Summer Programming for K-12th grade students through June and the first half of July. Hours needed are 9am-2pm on weekdays. 15-20 hours/week. Unpaid.

The Finance & Administration Intern will provide support to Canopy’s Finance and Administration department. The internship includes a variety of tasks, including data management, financial tracking and
budgeting, and general administrative tasks. The intern will gain experience in nonprofit accounting and auditing.
10-15 hours per week. Unpaid, for credit.

This internship focuses on supporting Canopy’s entrepreneurship program. Interns will play an important role in helping with marketing and social media, being a part of the Inspired Hands cottage industry initiative, documenting resources in NWA, and some administrative tasks.
Interest and/or experience in entrepreneurship and/or small business is very helpful.
8-10 hours/week. Unpaid, for credit.
