A few members of the Canopy team shared their favorite local restaurants in NWA! Check out some of our team’s tips on great spots – some team favorites are even mentioned multiple times on the list! – and some favorite dishes at many of the places. You’ll find a wide array of diverse cuisine listed below and want to spend this Spring testing out all of the delicious places our incredible community has to offer!

▹ Kosmo’s Greek Cafe – She recommends the chicken souvlaki
▹ Foodology Food Truck – “I’ve never had something that wasn’t good from this place!”
▹ Wasabi Modern Japanese Cuisine – Try the spicy tuna roll
Ariana’s Picks —
▹ Petra Cafe – Turkish / Mediterranean food. She loves their foule.
▹ Saffron Indian Cuisine – Her recommendation is the seekh e laziz (lamb kebab)
▹ White Oak gas station crispitos – “I know. I know, but it’s my guilty pleasure.”
Hannah’s Picks —
▹ Los Bobos Taqueria – “My favorite street tacos! Their chorizo tacos are the BEST. Shoutout to Nellie for introducing me!”
▹ Thai Spice – “Looks like a commercial place but they have amazing food. They have my favorite yellow curry and mango sticky rice!”
▹ Petra Cafe – “I could eat Petra’s falafel every day”
▹ Cafe Rue Orleans for Cajun cuisine!

▹ Thai Taste in Springdale – “(Don’t tell my parents. lol) They’re the only ones that do Khao Piek Sen (Lao Noodle Soup)”
▹ Saiwok Vietnamese Street Food: She recommends the Banh Mi w/ Pho Broth
▹ Punjabi Kitchen: Try the Bengan Bharta!
Joanna’s Picks —
The following all have very tasty vegetarian options:
▹ Saiwok Vietnamese Street Food in Rogers
▹ Havana Tropical Grill in Rogers – “they even have a vegetarian Cuban sandwich. So creative!”
▹ Ramen Nara – “the vegetarian curry and gyoza are delish.”
▹ “I also love vegan Wednesdays at Zanzibar Kitchen and Thai E San. I think these are two staff favorites!”
▹ “I am always marveling at the glorious baked goods and global cuisine expertly crafted by Skopp Bakery!”
Restaurant she is most excited to try:
▹ Bentonville Taco & Tamale “because several Canopy clients are on the culinary team opening this new restaurant.”
Sara’s Picks —
– 641 Deli (the deli attached to Fayetteville Public Library). “On their menu is a huge bowl of rice and beans for $2 and I’ve had weeks where we actually eat it every day. They also have sweet potato tots with a great assortment of herb mayos and spicy ketchup type dips.”
– Faby’s Mexican Food and Taqueria– “I’ve never been to Oaxaca nor had Oaxacan food before eating at this food truck so maybe Oaxacan food gets even better than what they offer… BUT they have an assortment of Oaxacan items on their menu that are sooooooo good.”
– Zanzibar Kitchen – “A recent favorite and I agree with Stella that Happiness is such a kind human. The coconut beans and rice with greens + plantains. So good.”
– Thai E San – “A consistently faithful restaurant for a long time for me.”
Aubrey’s Picks —
▹ KJ Sushi & Korean BBQ (Fayetteville). “They have delicious Korean food such as spicy rice cakes (ddeokbokki), Barbequed marinated meat (bulgogi), and hot stone mixed rice (dolsot bibimbap). On the back of the menu, they have sushi.”
▹ Khana Indian Grill – “They have super delicious food!”
▹ Fratelli’s Wood-Fired Pizzeria – “They make hand tossed Italian style pizza. I used to work there as a cook before my time at Canopy, and I highly recommend the Spinach and Artichoke pizza and the cheesy bread.”
Stella’s Picks —
▹ Zanzibar Kitchen – East African food. “My favorite part about this restaurant is the owner, Happiness. She exemplifies her name and is always beaming with a smile and an extra helping of food. She is the star of Zanzibar”
▹ Tangiers Mediterranean Food and Cafe – Mediterranean, Greek & Middle Eastern Food
▹ Punjabi Kitchen – Indian, Punjabi Cuisine
Ana’s Picks —
▹ Hugo’s on the Fayetteville square “…because of its atmosphere, I feel like when I walk down those steps and into the restaurant I am transported to a different place in time. I also deeply enjoy their chocolate mousse with a cup of coffee!”
▹ Yeyo’s at 8th street market in Bentonville – “their cauliflower tacos are insanely delicious, also – margaritas ;)”
▹ SnackLab she recommends the Acai bowl!
We are so grateful for all of these incredible places and more all across NWA! Take some time this Spring to try out some of these wonderful local restaurants. Also, keep an eye out for a few local restaurants that are soon to be opened by some of our new neighbors! Our new neighbors bring incredible culture and tradition here to our community and a big part of that is the diverse and amazing cuisine from their home countries!
